 If you want to join the world conflict, the 1st step to do is to download Ingress on your iPhone or Android device. Sing up with your Google account to enter the digital world and create your name in it. The next bit is pretty difficult – you’ll have to choose “your side”.

 To cut a long story short, not long ago the Earth has been seeded with “Exotic Matter”, a phenomenon which has no explanation. Since that day there have appeared a great many portals all over the world and there has started a great war between two factions. The 1st one is called The Enlightened or Frogs and is represented by the green color. This faction believes to bring the humanity on the next evolution step using the Exotic Matter (XM). The 2nd faction is the Resistance or Smurfs, it’s represented by blue. The Smurfs fight for human freedom and believe the XM will enslave the humanity. Have you already made up your mind what faction to choose? Think better! You won’t have a chance to change your decision.


Dive into Cyberspace

As soon as you got in, you’ll see a map of your neighborhood, but in will be all black, without houses, shops, restaurants. Instead of it, you’ll see the XM, links, areas covered with green or blue light – control field where rules one of two factions, and portals. There are 3 types of them: green ones belong to the Enlightened, blue – to the Resistance and grey – temporary unclaimed. Usually the portals are the most famous monuments of your place. However, you can suggest a place to be a portal. Just take a pic of it and send it to moderators for consideration.

 Your main goal is to examine your location, find unclaimed portals and claim it for your faction. To do this, you need to place a so called resonator – a special Ingress item that helps conquer portals. Each resonator also contains XM energy that fades with time and needs to be recharged. Both portals and resonators have levels. The highest one is L8. To reach the next level you must complete several tasks and earn points. Here is how you can do it:

•  recharge resonators. It gives your 10 points for each recharging. 
• deploy resonators. You’ll have 125 points for each resonator and 375 points if it’s the last one in a portal.
•  create control fields. Sometimes there appear keys near the portals. Be the 1st one to get a key and link two portals together (draw a line) to get 313 point. Again, if your line is the last one to complete a triangle, you’ll earn 1563 points.\

 Hack the portals to get new weapon, resonators and items to protect your portals. The more proficient you are, the more protected your portal is. You’ll be able even to destroy portals of your enemies. The game will finish when all the portals will be controlled. But…there are so many place on the Earth that it’s hardly possible to rule them all, right? However, are you ready to try? So take your phone, install Ingress and go exploring your city right now! It’s not only interesting, but also good for your health as you may walk long distances by foot and lose some weight.

BE WARE! YOUR INSTARAM PHOTOS MAY LAND YOU IN JAIL

So apparently it is totally legal for the police to create fake accounts on instagram, friend you and use your posts against you without use of search warrants during investigations swhich include you as a suspect.

This is according to District Court Judge William Martini of New Jersey after such an investigation helped the police bust a jewelry theft ring in 2013.

Apparently Daniel Gatson, the leader of the ring posted some of the loot on instagram thinking the privacy settings would help him. The police simply created a fake account and requested to follow him where he got busted.

When all is said and done nothing is usually private when shared through the internet and that is what we should all keep in mind next time we post a something online.

Lost a job? Lost a family member? Flopped that life-changing interview? Failed that major exam that was to determine your dream career? If you are in college or used to be, it's no secret that partying is the most sought activity in the school with study showing that highest consumption of booze occurs at campus parties. So what really happens there?
All the games and fun comprises mostly of downing on booze and recently there have been a trend in mixing the booze with energy drinks. A study published in the Journal of Adolescent , confirms that mixing of caffeinated energy drinks and booze is ultimately risky to one's health. How?

Well, the study indicates that drinking the mixture makes one less drunk than drinking the alcohol by itself and a a result one continues to down on more alcohol. In the end the amount of alcohol in their systems is high hence leading to health risks. "This can have serious potential health impacts, for example if people don't realize how intoxicated they actually are and decide to drive home,"said Megan Patrick, a research assistant professor and co-author of the study at the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan.
